This dataset collects the number of players of the RuneScape MMOG during the period from 2011-05-04 to 2011-11-22. The data have been collected by fetching the page http://www.runescape.com/title.ws approximately every 2 minutes, and checking the number of players online as it appeared on that page.

Note that, due to occasional network glitches, some measurements may have been missed (and do not appear on the dataset).

The structure of the dataset is quite simple. There are three columns, separated by a single space. Columns 1 and 2 contain the timestamp in RFC 3339 format, as produced by the `date –rfc-3339=“seconds”` UNIX command. The third column is the number of players online at that time. Pay attention to the daylight saving on october 30, 2011.
